Set a minimum price for the photo, state the turnaround together with the price, and charge above the minimum for what the fan orders. Someone asking for a custom photo is not buying an image: he is buying a photo that did not exist until he asked. That is why the price depends less on the file and more on how much of it is only his — the outfit, the setting, the pose, the name.
What the fan expects to get
He expects a photo made for him, the way you agreed in the conversation. The more specific the request, the more the photo is worth — and that is what supports charging above the minimum. He also expects to know when he gets it, which is why the turnaround goes together with the price, in the same sentence.
What goes into the price
- What he orders. A simple photo and one with a chosen outfit, setting and pose do not cost the same. Every extra detail is extra production.
- Your production time. Setting the scene, changing outfits, shooting and picking the best frame takes your time. The minimum is there so that time is never unpaid.
- The turnaround. You set, in hours, how long it takes you to deliver the photo. A short turnaround supports a higher price; a long one calls for a lower minimum so the fan is willing to wait.
- Its place in your store. The photo usually sits between the custom audio and the custom video. Its price talks to the one for a custom video and for a photo and video pack, which is ready-made content.
How it works in practice
- You turn photo on in the dashboard, under Custom orders → Settings, with a minimum price and a turnaround in hours. Audio and video have their own cards, each with its own.
- The fan asks, the conversation finds out what he wants — outfit, setting, pose, what is written on it — and presents the price with the turnaround, always above the minimum. It never promises delivery on the spot.
- He pays by Pix or card. The agreed amount above the minimum is the amount charged.
- The order opens on its own and you get the alert, with what the fan asked for written out. After payment, the conversation asks at most one follow-up question and closes with confidence.
- You shoot and upload the file in the dashboard, with a message from you. The fan gets a protected link, only his, and views it there. If the link expires, he asks for another.
Where it pays off most: the photo opens the next order
A fan who gets a photo made for him usually wants the next one. In the same conversation, the photo can become the first item of a bigger order: a photo with an audio, or with a video. An order with several pieces adds up the minimum price of each and the turnaround is the one of the piece that takes longest. For the audio, see how much to charge for a custom audio.
Frequently asked questions
How much should I charge for a custom photo?
You set a minimum price for the photo, and the conversation works from there: the first offer goes out above the minimum and negotiation never drops below it. The price goes up with what the fan asks for — outfit, setting, pose, his name in the shot — and with the production time it takes from you.
Does a custom photo cost the same as a custom audio or video?
No. Custom photo, video and audio are three separate offers, each with its own minimum price and its own turnaround. The fan always hears the number for the type he is asking for, never another one.
What do fans usually ask for in a custom photo?
A photo that exists only for him: a chosen outfit, a setting, a pose, his name written or spoken in the scene. What makes a photo custom is that it did not exist before the request — and that is what sets it apart from a pack, which is ready-made content.
How long do I have to deliver?
The turnaround you set yourself, in hours, for photos. The conversation tells the fan that turnaround together with the price, before closing, and never promises delivery on the spot. After payment, the confirmation repeats the real turnaround you configured.
How does the fan receive the photo?
You upload the file in the dashboard, on his order, with a message from you. The fan gets a protected link that only the buyer can open, together with your message. If the link expires, he asks and gets another.
Can I sell several photos, or a photo and a video, in the same order?
Yes. An order with several pieces adds up the minimum price of each one, and the turnaround is the one of the piece that takes longest. A bundle discount only exists if you set one up yourself.
Can I resell a photo made for one fan?
Only if you allow it, piece by piece. Since a lot of custom photos carry the fan’s name or a request that is only his, the usual choice is to keep resale off.
